Operator and Technical Training
in ATDC
My training experience was truly transformative. It allowed me to become one with the machine understanding its power, blind spots, structure, and performance. Learning proper inspection and operation gave me the confidence to identify potential issues early and provide practical recommendations to customers based on firsthand experience. Operating large Komatsu machines like the PC2000-8 and HD785-7 deepened my technical knowledge and strengthened my growth as a Global Engineer. With the guidance of professional instructors at ATDC, the learning process was both engaging and meaningful. Overall, it was a valuable experience that enriched me professionally and personally.
-Mr. Atuel, 17th Batch Global Engineer Trainee
Having the chance to operate and learn about the machine was quite fun, but having to encounter much bigger machines? Imagine the size and weight of the components that it has. My time at Thailand was a memorable one, at first, I felt intimidated by their size and complexity, but through proper training and guidance, I gained confidence and skill. I learned the importance of safety, focus, and responsibility when handling large machines.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to attend the Komatsu Academy Asia Training in Thailand, as it was a highly valuable and enriching experience for my professional growth. During the training, I gained in-depth technical knowledge and practical skills, particularly in large-size excavators and rigid dump trucks, which strengthened my understanding of heavy equipment operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The program significantly enhanced my technical competence and broadened my perspective in handling large-scale mining machinery, equipping me with the skills and confidence to excel as a service engineer in the mining industry.
-Mr. De Arce, 17th Batch Global Engineer Trainee
The Komatsu Asia Academy training provided me with significant professional enrichment, as it encompassed both operational and structural training on large-scale machines frequently used in mine sites worldwide. This program not only enhanced my intermediate skills and knowledge but also offered valuable insights into Komatsu’s global best practices. Beyond the structured learning, we had the opportunity to experience Thailand’s culture and traditions, which exceeded my expectations. I am truly grateful to Komatsu Philippines Corporation and Komatsu Asia Academy for granting us the privilege to take part in such a remarkable experience.
